WORKERS UNION

As promised, here's a taste of that live recording of Workers Union by the Yesaroun'Duo, a saxophone and percussion group starring Sam Solomon and Eric Hewitt. Their program notes are here. If you want the whole lovely thing, I'll happily burn it.

ICE is proud to launch ICETANK!, a new series in one of our favorite venues – The Tank in Tribeca. Join us for eight intimate ICE programs this season on the first Wednesday of each month.

ICE's kinetc flute section, Claire Chase and Eric Lamb, present a variation on their Chicago ICEFest program with new works by New York composers Samuel Pluta, Steve Reich, Marcelo Toledo and Huang Ruo.

Tomorrow evening New Amsterdam Records, a label that describes itself as "a haven for the great artists [we] know who make music that slips through the cracks between genres," is hosting a night of music at the CSV Culteral Center/LES Gallery that promises to be a hoot. It features four composers' bands; the composers are Tristan Perich, William Brittelle, Judd Greenstein, and Mark Dancigers and their respective bands are 1-Bit Music, Mohair Timewarp, and Dancigers. I will be there with bells. Also, it's called Awesome Music Live.
